Join family and friends at the Czech & Slovak Folklife Festival, a celebration of the rich history & culture brought to this region by the Czech & Slovak families who settled here on farmlands abandoned during the Civil War. It is a wonderful, colorful celebration that will share Czech music and dancing, and delicious authentic food and drink and including wonderful baked goods. You will see vintage farm equipment, and there will be a lot of genealogical information available. Also, please visit the Museum’s Czech-Slovak Heritage Gallery to see the clothing, the photos, and other important artifacts that tell the fascinating stories. In the beautiful Gift Shop you will find Czech glassware, jewelry, family cookbooks, Christmas ornaments, many handcrafted items and much more.
