On the Weekend of April 20-21, Revolutionary War soldiers will be encamped at Historic Battersea.  Each day there will be a reenactment of the Battle of Petersburg, along with drills, demonstrations and you will be able to meet and talk with some of the soldiers.  Bring your children as on Saturday at 12 noon there will be a Recruit Militia & Drill event for them.  Each day gates open at 11.  Saturday’s schedule is: Infantry Drill at 11, Cannon Drill & Demo at 11:30, the Recruit Militia (kids) Drill at 12, a Cannon Demo at 1, Soldiers Assemble for Battle at 1:30, the Battle of Petersburg at 2 and a Colonial Dancing Demo at 3, and Gates Close at 4.  On Sunday attend a Period Church Service at 11:30, Militia Drill at Noon, Cannon Demo at 1, Soldiers Assemble for Battle at 1:30, The Battle Reenactment is at 2 and Gates Close at 3.

Bring snacks & drinks or a picnic lunch as there will be no food available for purchase.  No alcohol will be permitted on the property.  Take advantage of the many restaurants in Old Towne for lunch or take-out.
