Music, Ice Cream, Cupcakes, the Town Crier – The Prince George County 320th Founder’s Day Celebration on the lawn of the County’s Heritage Center (the historic 1883 Courthouse) will be held on Saturday evening, July 22, from 7 pm – 9 pm.  The Bracey Junction Bluegrass Band will play favorite bluegrass, country, gospel & American roots music, so bring your lawn chairs or a blanket and enjoy a special evening!  The Town Crier will proclaim the County’s break from Charles City County.  You will see Mary Ellen Howe’s gift of her realistic depiction of Pocahontas based on the 1618 Simon van de Passe engraving, the only known likeness of Pocahontas made during her lifetime.  A very special Family Evening!  The Museum’s galleries and gift shop will be open.
