During this special afternoon program at Poplar Grove National Cemetery National Park Service staff will present a very special Memorial Day program that will explore the origins of Memorial Day and its links to the Civil War. Included will be poems, soldiers’ letters, speeches from the era.
Due to limited parking at the Cemetery, there will be shuttles from Richard Bland College, 11301 Johnson Road, South Prince George, VA 23805. Please do not drive to the Cemetery; park at Richard Bland College. Schedule your arrival at Richard Bland to allow for the shuttle ride so that you will be at Poplar Grove by 1 pm.
