Pamplin Historical Park will be celebrating America’s Independence on July 6 & 7, offering multiple programs for your family’s exploration. Of particular interest, you and your family will have the opportunity to meet and chat with the Marquis de Lafayette, portrayed by living historian Charles Wissinger. He will share the stories and passion of this young man of France who fought in the American Revolution at 1:00 pm on July 6.  You are also invited to participate in historic “games of the day”. Park staff will lead tours of the Breakthrough Battlefield. There will be an Independence Day ceremony that will conclude with a cannon fire salute. All activities are included in the Park’s general admission fees.
