Meet the Park Ranger at the Tour Stop 8 Parking Lot at the Eastern Front Battlefield for a tour that will present the story of the Union soldiers and how they went about digging a 500 ft. tunnel that would lead under the Confederate defense line to the east of Petersburg, which we now know as the Battle of the Crater. A small amount of walking will be involved. It is suggested that you bring some water along and wear comfortable shoes.
