It is indeed special to come to Spring Grove, VA to see the absolutely beautiful paintings by artist Ed Hatch. It is even more special to come to his studio, built in 1912 by his great grandfather who operated his general store there when Ed was a child. Behind the studio is Ed’s childhood home. Come and enjoy the beautiful drive on a lovely fall day and meet Ed and hear about how his surroundings have inspired him.
James River Drive is Route 10 and easily accessible to Historic Hopewell for dining or to visit Weston Manor; to restaurants at Prince George Courthouse, or to historic Old Towne Petersburg where you could attend Historic Battersea’s annual Oysters, Barbecue…Battersea Oyster Roast that day from 1 pm – 5 pm, visit Blandford Church, or enjoy a meal in one of the many charming restaurants in Old Towne.
