For the 159th anniversary of the Battle of the Crater, Petersburg National Battlefield will host an encampment of living historians that will share stories. Twice each day at 10 am & 2 pm there will be a 90-minute battlefield tour/presentation about the Battle of the Crater that will begin in the parking area at Stop 8 on the Park Road. The Visitor Center will be open so stop in there where on Saturday there will be displays focused on the civilians’ experience during the Siege of Petersburg.
Bring water, sunscreen and wear comfortable shoes & clothing.
