This 5K race on Pamplin Historical Park’s historic Breakthrough Battlefield Trails is organized by the Tri-Cities Roadrunners and you will explore the history and see the original earthworks where the Civil War came to an end on April 2nd when Petersburg fell and Richmond was evacuated, one week before the Surrender at Appomattox. Both the start & finish will occur on the historic Hart Farm on Duncan Road. Registration will commence that morning at 7:30 am; the race begins at 9.
After the race, spend some time exploring The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier, Tudor Hall, The Field Quarter, the Battlefield Center and other properties on the Pamplin Park campus.
