Join John Banister as he and his fellow Dinwiddie County Delegate William Watkins welcome the great orator Patrick Henry to Battersea following his Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death speech earlier in the day at St. John’s Church in Richmond. Listen in as they talk about what “Liberty” means to them, their businesses, their families and their communities.
This event kicks off the region’s commemoration of our country’s 250th that will continue through July 2026. It is free. You are welcome to bring a lawn chair if you like and maybe a picnic so that you can enjoy this beautiful and historic property.
