The Virginia Czech and Slovak Folklife Festival celebrates the cultural heritage of hundreds of immigrant families from Czechia Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine, and other Eastern European countries who chose to build their lives in Prince George County during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Through the festival’s music, dance, crafts, authentic food, and the museum’s permanent Czech and Slovak gallery, visitors may explore cultural traditions, agricultural history, family ancestry, and the lasting impact of this community on the region.
