Begin your Independence Day celebration early on the Appomattox River in Hopewell for a grand Fireworks Show. Fireworks go off at 9:30 pm overlooking the Appomattox and good places from which to watch include: Hopewell Marina, Tri-Cities Hospital, the Hopewell Riverwalk and City Park.
