This month’s Civil War Roundtable will feature authors Judkin Browning & Tim Silver who will present stories from their recent book that focuses on the Civil War’s profound impact on America’s relationship with the natural world from environmental factors such as topography and the weather to the spread of diseases by humans and animals. The two speakers are history professors at Appalachian State University and co-authored “An Environmental History of the Civil War”. Social distancing will be maintained and you are asked to wear a mask.
The Petersburg Civil War Roundtable meets on the 1st Thursday of each month from 7-8 pm at Pamplin Historical Park. Annual memberships are available; however, non-members are welcome also.
