Come and gain a better understanding and interpretation of the daily life & experiences of African American women, men & families who lived at the field quarters on Whitehill Plantation during the 1800s. Discussion will include how enslaved people created homes and families, asserted their humanity and dignity and sought to survive and resist the institution of slavery. There will be different guided workstations with opportunities to share family and community stories.
