Presented by Battersea Foundation

A beautiful afternoon event held on the rolling lawn of Battersea invites guests to enjoy Virginia oysters right off of the grill, along with a traditional Virginia barbecue buffet lunch with all of the traditional southern sides, such as baked beans, cole slaw, macaroni & cheese, cornbread and luscious desserts. Ballad Beer will be offering VA Craft beer selections, there will be Virginia wine, and specialty cocktails will be available. Kristie Kream and the Sugar Daddies will be playing on the porch, so bring your chairs or blanket and enjoy. There will be an amazing collection of classic British cars on display also. There will be tours of the house, a neo-Palladian architectural gem that is 251 years old, and grounds available throughout the afternoon. This wonderful event is one of American Evolution’s Virginia Customs, Culture and Cuisine events as the 1619 Commemoration winds down throughout November. In the spirit of giving embedded in this month-long Customs, Culture & Cuisine theme, patrons are asked to bring non-perishable canned goods that will be donated to the Hope Center in Petersburg. Gates open at 12noon and lunch service begins at 1pm.
