Presented by Pamplin Historical Park

Enjoy a lovely day with your mom at a special tea with gourmet treat and a fascinating exploration of the world of author Jane Austen and all of the mothers and children in her beloved books. The discussion will include comparisons between Austen’s mother and siblings and how they contrast with real life or fiction. In “Northanger Abbey” Austen wrote, “A mother would have always been present. A mother would have been a constant friend; her influence would have been above all other.” Reservations & prepayment required. RSVP by May 5th. Your tea ticket includes park admission for the day. A virtual version of the tea will be available at 10 am – go to www.pamplinpark.org/special events.
