This silent film explores the history of witchcraft, demonology and satanism. It shows representations of evil in a variety of ancient & medieval artworks, offers vignettes illustrating several superstitious practices and presents a narrative about the persecution of a woman accused of witchcraft. From pagan worship to satanic rites to hysteria, the film takes you on a journey through the ages. Suggested fro 16+. There will be a lecture before the film in the recreated church; the movie will be on the lawn. Please bring blanket, chairs and snacks. Lecture at 6:30pm; Movie 7:30pm.
