Presented by Pamplin Historical Park & The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier

Dr. Sheila Phipps, Associate Professor of History at Appalachian State University, will be speaking at the March Civil War Roundtable at Pamplin Historical Park sharing the fascinating story of Mary Greenhow Lee. She was born into a very prominent Richmond family and later moved to Winchester where she conducted her covert work documenting the movement of the Union troops. She also provided a rare glimpse into the daily life of Winchester during the Civil War, and also served as a nurse at a military hospital during the war.
The Roundtable meets on the 1st Thursday each month from 7 – 8 pm at Pamplin Park in North Dinwiddie. Email Tim Talbott to reserve a seat – [email protected].
