VISUAL ARTS: The Art League  will open two new exhibits: mixed-media work by more than twenty artists from the Side Street Gallery in Colonial Heights:, including Marti Fann, Margie Wood, Faye Henderson, Rick Dobson,  Henry Kidd, Rose Mast, Milly Youngblood Horner, Judy Harris, Nancy  Belcher, Ginny Domouchelle, Julie Northcott, Nick Skaltsounis, Nona  Goodman, Cindy Hamlyn, Ann Allen, Scott DiPardo, Carolyn Shiflet downstairs in the  Main Gallery, and Morocco: Contemporary Traditional Art, curated by B,P. Priebe, upstairs in the Members Gallery. Nearby, around the Farmer’s Market in Old Market Square, the 7 Moons Market will return, with work by crafters, artisans, and makers. This month, look for food trucks at the Market, including Doobie Lou’s, The Beau Box, & others. The 7 Moons Market, a part of Petersburg’s Friday for the Arts! this year, is sponsored by Old Towne Studio 7 and the River Street Market. At 412 North Market Street, Lisa Mistry’s Petersburg Portraits, will be displayed in the storefront window. Mistry herself will be painting and drawing at the 7 Moons Market.

MUSIC: Matt Via & Friends will stage a Fundraising Concert for Steve Brooks at Old Towne Square (sponsored by Main Street Petersburg, with the support of the City of Petersburg). , and Blindfolded Stars  will be performing in Old Market Square as part of the 7 Moons Market. Music this month from six to ten!
