Presented by Pamplin Historical Park & The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier

Today students will be led by experienced park educators as they explore 3 programs: (1) “Why They Fought”, an interactive program to bring about a better understanding of why the nation divided and came to war; (2) “Civil War Battles”, which will examine changes in strategy & tactics of battles as the conflict wore on and will particularly look at the April 2, 1865 Breakthrough Battle, which was fought on the Pamplin Park property; and (3) a tour through The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier. These programs will go rain or shine, wear comfortable shoes, and pack a brown bag lunch and water bottle. Please Pre-Register/Pre-Pay.
