Presented by Pamplin Historical Park & The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier

This weekend Pamplin Historical Park will commemorate the 158th anniversary of the Breakthrough Battle that occurred on this site, ending the Petersburg Campaign and forcing the Confederate withdrawal from Richmond. There will be living history programs and special tours each day. You will be invited to drill with troops and you can see demonstrations/programs about Artillery, Medical Procedures, Music of the day, Food Shortages, Creative Recipes, & Gardening.

On Saturday there will be reenactments and you may stroll through military encampments. On Sunday, April 2, there will be a Special Anniversary Tour (separately ticketed) beginning at 6:30 AM, the approximate time of the actual assault on that day in 1865.  Tickets must be purchased in advance on Eventbrite – $10 per person.
