There is a chill in the air – a great morning to explore historic High Street. There is a lot to learn about these great houses, the architecture, who built them, and the industrial uses farther down the street that are now lofts. So many fascinating stories about the people who lived here. There is even a house that was dismantled and moved to High Street from Halifax County. Park and gather at 124 West Bank Street. It is a 90-minute walk, so wear comfortable shoes. You may want a hat, sunglasses, and having a water bottle is a good idea. Coming early for coffee & pastry or breakfast, and staying in town for lunch/shopping is always a good idea – Make a Day of It!
