Daniel Cottage is private, modern & comfortable with everything you need for a great stay. Comfortable furniture, full kitchen, modern bath, washer/dryer, and more. Internet is LTE but works great for TV and Zoom. For TV, there’s Netflix, Prime, HBO, Disney+ and other log-ins on the smart TV. While broadband isn’t yet available we find that computer, music, Zoom, and tv speeds are just fine.

The two queen beds are very comfortable and the entire cabin is efficient, spacious, and designed to ensure that we’d be comfortable there ourselves. There is also a workspace with WiFi, desk, desk chair, and area lighting.

Wells Cabin is a beautiful new space designed for couples who love to relax, enjoy the outdoors (hike, fish, trail bike, & more), & marvel over beautiful views. The Cottage has a full kitchen, a large king bedroom, a bright, window filled sitting area, and a new deck overlooking Upper Weldan Pond and acres of healthy, natural hardwood forest with nearly 4 miles of trails to explore. You’ll also love just enjoying the deck, a bonfire, and the beauty of the Virginia Countryside.

Wells Cabin is private, modern & comfortable with everything you need for a great stay. Internet is furnished through a Verizon JetPak. We find that computer, music, and tv speeds are just fine and have plenty of Zoom meetings with no issues. The King bed is amazingly comfortable and the entire cabin is efficient, spacious, and designed to ensure that we’d be comfortable there ourselves. We know you’ll love it. There is also a dedicated workspace with WiFi, desk chair, and area lighting.

We supply you with a Property/Trail Map at check in and, except for a rational perimeter around our home and two buildings awaiting renovation and marked with signs, you have access to the entire 75 acres of forest, field, and pond. Hike, fish, explore – whether you stay on the trails or not it is all up to you. Find a favorite spot and relax as your silence gives comfort to native deer, fox, raccoons, and more. Spending time in the forest and communing with nature is something you’ll find soothing and relaxing at a deeper level than you thought possible. The Japanese call it Forest Bathing and say that a forest bathing meditation can lead to reduced stress, build peace, improve sleep, and even make relationships better.

Feast of Harvest Farm, LLC is a 64-acre farm located in Carson, Virginia.  It is part of a 4th generation Black family-owned 222-acre farm owned by Vanessa Johnson’s great-grandparents. Shelton and Vanessa Johnson purchased their portion of the family’s farm from her parents’ estate in 2016. The farm specializes in organic farming.

ANIMAL EXPLORERS FARM CAMP
Your little animal lover will want to join us for summer camp. No two weeks are the same as barn life changes from week to week with new babies born throughout the entire summer. Animal Explorers will work in teams and learn about animal husbandry of rabbits, emus, chickens, mini horses, mini donkeys, and quail. Camp is a hands-on FUN experience where all campers assist with animal care and become the expert of their favorite farm animal. On the last day of camp, campers give their parents/guardians a tour of the farm teaching them everything they learned throughout the week. This is an amazing opportunity for campers to build their self-confidence as leaders.
