Haversacks & Hardtack String Band will perform parlor songs, pieces that were played as at-home entertainment during the 19^th century. Haversacks & Hardtack endeavors to educate as well as entertain audiences, providing historical narratives of the songs played, allowing spectators to receive a deeper understanding of the music. A local favorite, the band regularly performs at programs for Pamplin Historical Park and the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier, Violet Bank, and Historic Petersburg Foundation among others.
