A historian will lead a special tour through Historic Blandford Cemetery, the second largest in Virginia. The earliest grave is dated 1702. There are many unique headstones and monuments and funerary art from the Colonial period, the Victorian Age up to the present. You will also hear about many of the people who are buried here. Once you have taken the cemetery tour, you are welcome to take the tour of Blandford Church for a reduced price of $5. Please arrive by 12:45 pm. Parking is available in the Reception Center.
This event is not wheelchair accessible, there are no benches for sitting down along the way, and it is suggested that you wear proper/comfortable shoes as you will walk through grass and on uneven ground.
