Presented by Tri-Cities Arts & Culture

Artoberfest features local live music and spoken word performances, live work and auction by visual artists, kids art activities, art & craft vendors, t-shirt screen printing, a mural unveiling, food and beverage, and more.

Stage performances include the Dragon Scales vocal ensemble and Chamber Orchestra from the Appomattox Regional Governor’s School, spoken word by K Moss & Associates and First Friday Freedom, music by U & I Plus Latin Band, Balkan & Mediterranean music from My Son the Doctor, Jazz from Dr. Weldon Hill & Friends, and a DJ set from Omar Faison of Southern Housepitality.

Thirteen local artists will be working live on 4×8 pieces throughout the day. Their completed pieces will be available for auction starting at 7PM with the proceeds going to the artists and a new mural by Navid Rahman in Old Towne Petersburg.

There will be art activities for the kids, as well as art and craft vendors. Enjoy refreshing local craft beer, as well as standard domestic cans. Multiple food options will be available. There will also be on-site t-shirt screen printing by Inkbug with shirts for sale featuring the new Navid Rahman mural design, ‘Happy Birthday, Petersburg’. Artist, Lisa Mistry, will also unveil her new mural at the Appomattox Iron Works.

This event aims to showcase the regional arts and culture scene and ensures a fun experience for the whole family.
