Don’t Miss “Trains Trucks Tractors – Titans of Transportation” at Keystone Truck & Tractor Museum
July 20 & 21 / July 27 & 28 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
The big RF&P Model Railroad Show is BACK at Keystone. The huge, amazing layouts of O Scale, HO Scale, and N Scale trains will be running. There are also hundreds of tractors, trucks, vintage cars, antique toys, and much more to enjoy.

Encompassing more than 125,000 square feet, Keystone Truck & Tractor Museum is no ordinary museum. It’s cool, combustive, and guaranteed to take you on an exhilarating walk down memory lane.

Experience the last century of agricultural heritage incorporating fully restored antique farm tractors, ongoing restoration projects, and other farm-related equipment. Keystone offers visitors more than the farm with a time warp of antique road trucks, classic cars, vintage gas pumps, oil cans, automotive signage, clocks, advertising posters of yesteryear, and so much more!

Founder Keith Jones and museum curator Alan “Bones” Stone will delight you with their hospitality and appreciation of the rich heritage of agriculture and automotive transport. Hundreds of farm tractors are on display in this private collection dating back to 1917 through 1960. A timeline of agriculture’s heritage, with a beautiful award-winning display of Deere’s features, one of each of the twenty-eight John Deere two-cylinder models from the Waterloo Boy through the 830.

Keystone Truck & Tractor Museum’s stunning collection features rare tractors such as the UDLX Minneapolis Moline (only 25 known restored today), the Sampson Jumbo, Silver Kings, and a Graham Bradley farm tractor that was sold by Sears and Allis-Chalmers. Plus, a lineup of the Massey Harris, Massy Ferguson, Farmall, Case, and Oliver farm tractors. Lastly, the Cockshutt farm tractor showcases the models 30, 40, 50 & 70.

Keystone also features an extensive collection of Antique Road Trucks such as Diamond T, Mack, Brockway, International, Kenworth, and White, just to name a few, and more are constantly rolling in!

The Museum collection is growing; you’ll want to visit often to see what’s been added to this premier private collection! Bring the kids and learn about and experience the evolution of agriculture in America.

Rooms in the museum can also be rented out as event venues and can seat up to 200 people. You can grab a hearty bite to eat during your perusal at the on-site restaurant, the Keystone Grill!

There are RV spaces at Keystone for overnight stays.

Spend the day at Pamplin Historical Park & The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier and journey back to the 19th century. The Park’s 422-acre campus features four award-winning museums, four historic homes, costumed living history demonstrations, guided tours, and the Breakthrough Battlefield of April 2, 1865.

The Park’s facilities and programs appeal to casual visitors, serious students of Civil War-era history, and families alike. Pamplin Historical Park has received accolades from a wide range of national and regional media and has been rated by AAA Automotive Club as a Gem attraction. The Park is recognized as a National Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Museums

Visit the Park’s four award-winning museums and: explore the everyday world of Civil War soldiers; discover why for millions of Americans, the Southern way of life in the 1860s was ”A Land Worth Fighting For;” learn why slavery became such a divisive issue in 1850s America; understand why one of the Civil War’s most important battles took place on a seemingly remote Virginia farm.

Historic Homes

Explore the lives of free and enslaved antebellum Southerners in the context of original historic homes and recreated 19th-century environments. For generations, these buildings housed the hopes and dreams of Southern families. When the war came, they served as headquarters for the military leaders on which their future depended.

Battlefields

The campaign for Petersburg lasted 292 days in 1864 and 1865. The battle that determined the outcome of the campaign occurred on April 2, 1865 and involved an attack of more than 14,000 Union troops on a section of Confederate fortifications on the Banks, Hart, and Boisseau farms. Known as ”The Breakthrough” and declared a National Historic Landmark in 2006, this Union victory forced General Robert E. Lee to evacuate both Richmond and Petersburg. One week later, Lee surrendered to General Grant at Appomattox Court House, signaling the virtual end of the Civil War.

and More!

Those who wish to book groups of 10 or more, educational programs or inquire and book facility rentals can call (804) 861-2408 or email generalmailbox@pamplinpark.org. More information is also available for groups on the park’s website at www.pamplinpark.org.

Four generations are operating a beautiful 800-acre dairy farm and creamery in western Dinwiddie County that has been operating since the mid-1700s. Their fresh from the cow milk and ice cream is available in the creamery. The family-owned Richlands Dairy Farm has been a fixture on Route 460 in Dinwiddie County for many years. How can you possibly pass by this new landmark without stopping for delicious ice cream in a freshly made waffle cone? Their mission and vision are summed up in “Honest to Goodness Dairy”. What does that mean? They are transparent in their operation, taking care of their cows with the highest of standards, installing large windows for visitors to look through to the milk plant, and conducting tours of the farm so that everyone can see exactly what they are doing. Not only that, a very important part of their mission is giving back to their community as they commit to giving away one gallon of milk to a needy family or to a food bank for every 10 that they sell. Commendable business practices and the ice cream is AMAZING! Be sure to try it!

Group tours can be scheduled during May – October and watch the calendar for other special events. This is a Virginia farm that’s all about using Virginia products.
